Christian Horner Reportedly Getting in Touch with Multiple Formula 1 Team Principals
Ex-Red Bull team boss Christian Horner is reportedly "ringing up pretty much every team owner" as he pursues a return to Formula 1, as stated by Aston Martin F1 chief executive officer Andy Cowell.
The British racing team is one of the organizations that are connected to the former chief.
Cowell revealed he had confirmed the developments with squad proprietor Lawrence Stroll this past Friday at the Singapore GP.
"It looks as though Christian is contacting nearly every team principal at the moment," stated the executive.
"I can clearly say there are no intentions for the participation of Christian in an leadership or investment capacity in the future."
Further Organizations React
Haas chief Ayao Komatsu revealed that the former Red Bull leader had "approached" the Stateside organization but continued: "Things haven't advanced. It's over."
The Renault-owned team top official Steve Nielsen revealed the squad's senior consultant and acting leader Flavio Briatore was "longtime companions" with the former principal.
The Alpine director added: "I'm unaware what they discuss. Everything I know is there are no arrangements for Christian to arrive at Alpine but that isn't to say it won't happen."
The Grove-based squad chief James Vowles stated that the ex-chief had not reached out to them.
"We're very happy with the structure we have and it's working," Vowles said. "There's no cause to alter this."
Previous Developments
The former team principal is free to return Formula 1 by the mid-next season after finalising a departure deal with the energy drink company on September 22nd.
The 51-year-old was let go as the team's leader after the British Grand Prix in the month of July.
Multiple sources at Red Bull have indicated the financial arrangement was valued at 60m euros (£52m).
