Earick Rules Out Spurs Buyout Proposal Post-Initial Contact

Spurs had earlier “unequivocally rejected” an preliminary inquiry from a investment group led by Earick last month and stated the team was unavailable for purchase.
But the nation's corporate governance laws dictated that, after an informal proposal turned down, the group were obligated to present a formal offer by 24 October or state they would refrain.
Official word of the choice was issued in a release issued by the club to the London Stock Exchange, confirming the organization is “no longer in an takeover phase.”
He shared an image of the statement on social media, adding: “I've had a privilege discussing with Tottenham Hotspur and the owners' agents over the past few weeks.
“I hold deep admiration for the team, its executives, and its fans, and desire only the best.”
The club's board acknowledged the syndicate for its “positive engagement” in talks and for “respecting the firm stance” of the shareholders that the club is unavailable.
The entrepreneur is a one-time music presenter who also served in space technology for the space agency before founding Redacted RnD, which specializes in technology, entertainment, athletics and leisure.
His approach was the third expression of interest turned down by the team's directors since the abrupt resignation of long-serving chairman Daniel Levy in the fall.
Earlier in September, the team rejected approaches from ex-Newcastle investor Staveley's PCP International and a syndicate led by Dr Roger Kennedy and Ng through Firehawk Holdings Limited.
The former chairman and his family control about a significant stake of Enic Holdings – which has an almost 87% shareholding in Tottenham.
The executive was the English top flight's most enduring chair and is believed to have made more than £50m during his almost quarter of a century in the capacity.
Yet he was also the target of ongoing dissent by Tottenham supporters, notably last season as home competition outcomes turned out unsatisfactory.
Tottenham won their first trophy in seventeen years when they beat Manchester United in last season's continental decider.
